Last week I asked what’s really driving the housing crisis, and the responses were telling:
68% said affordability: most people simply can’t buy right now
14% said supply: not enough homes
16% said both equally
2% said something else
The takeaway? While we often discuss inventory, most people believe the real issue is that the homes we do have aren’t priced within reach.
This confirms what I see every day: it’s not just about how many homes exist, it’s about who can actually afford them.
